Spiced Maple and Black Sesame Walnuts

These Spiced Maple and Black Sesame Walnuts are a delicious gluten-free snack that has just the right amount of sweet and salty. Plus, they're simple to make and taste great with salads or desserts.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raw walnuts
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions:

Warm your oven up to 325F 160C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet

Put the black sesame seeds, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and sea salt in a large bowl

Mix the spices well so that they are spread out evenly

Pour the pure maple syrup over the mixed-spiced nuts and mix them around until they are all covered

Place the walnuts on the baking sheet that has been prepared in a single layer

Place in an oven that has already been heated and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the walnuts are golden and the maple syrup has turned into a caramel

During the baking, stir the mixture a few times to make sure it covers evenly

The walnuts should cool all the way down on the parchment paper after taking the baking sheet out of the oven

Once they are cool, separate the black sesame and spiced maple nuts into groups

Keep at room temperature in a container that keeps air out for up to a week

You can eat it as a tasty gluten-free snack or put it on salads and desserts
